My Story

niece-family-christmas-2007.jpgMy name is Brian Niece and I serve as pastor to the believers and those yet to believe under the name Grace Community Church in Brunswick, GA — the heart of Coastal Georgia. I’ve been here since August 2006. Before this, I served as pastor to families with youth at Nashville First Church of the Nazarene. And before that, I spent about 10 years in professional theatre: acting, directing, writing, and founding and running a small professional theatre company. The theme of life for me — always integrated with the Chrisitan community — is Lex Orandi, Lex Credendi … my paraphrase: “the way you worship, is the way you live.”I pray the words typed here will honor the Three in One, my Lord, our Creator God … and hopefully inspire other sojourners on The Way.

Official Bio:

Brian Niece moved from Nashville, TN to Brunswick in August of 2006. Brian is a graduate of Trevecca Nazarene University where he earned the MA in Biblical Studies. Spending time with his wife, Heather, son, Eliot, daughter, Tobi, watching ESPN and reading are some of his favorite activities. Brian senses a strong call to innovatively discuss and live the Word of God as a partner with believers and not-yet believers in developing a synergistic community of faith.

    Dear Brian:

I pastor a small Nazarene Church in N.E. Indiana and have for the last three years been teaching our people about sacramental theology and following the Christian calendar. We have change our sunday morning service to a classic four part service. Gathering, proclamation & response, Thanksgiving and sending forth. I’m glad to see that there are other Nazarenes who are embracing liturgy and the sacraments. I’m 46 but very interested in ancient-future worship. May the Lord bless you and your Church.

    In Christ,

    Pastor Steven

Who am I? Gloria’s husband. Daddy-to-be. Perpetual student. Brother to some, son to others. Child of God. Follower of Jesus.

Why am I here? Just checkin’ in on my old script-writing teacher. Looks like things are good.

    Blessings.

You look so different! I didn’t even recognize your picture. I really hope you are well, and I’ve been praying for you. Let me know if there’s anything specific I can add to my prayers.
